W2UG BIOGRAPHY
To hear Doug talk, he says "I'm just a basic Telephone Guy... hi hi". For over 30 years he has built, programmed and repaired data systems for Mother Ding Dong....... Radio stuff..... he says "I dabble in pretty much everything and anything". P> Doug holds and Extra class license, works HF when he has the time and enjoys participating in special events (e.g., I.E. public service events, Bike Tours, Runs/Walks ) as a communicator.
He is an ARES/RACES member in Monmouth county and is the past Neptune Township Radio Officer for ARES/RACES. Doug is also an active ARRL VE and the trustee of the AERIALS 443 repeater.
By the way, Doug donates Blood regularly and says that he is a Lousy Dancer !
