AERIALS and Linking

It is a goal of AERIALS to help establish and maintain local, interstate, and international repeater communications networking capabilities in New Jersey.

It is planned that the AERIALS repeater system will be linked using both RF Links and the Internet Radio Linking Project (IRLP) to provide access to other repeater systems throughout New Jersey and the world.

AERIALS shall create its first RF Link between the 443 Repeater and the N2CKH hub located in Lakewood. This link between the 443 Repeater and the N2CKH hub will make a number of features available to the AERIALS system user base.

The linking capability will be on-demand rather than an all the time dedicated linking scheme. By utilizing Dual-Tone Multi Frequency (DTMF) signaling access methods for all functions a user will be able to access various system features and link locations outside the AERIALS system RF coverage area. The codes for these functions will be published on this web site in the near future.

At an absolute minimum the 443 repeater linked to the N2CKH hub in Lakewood will provide access to 6m, 2m, 1.25 and 70cm repeaters owned and operated by N2CKH from Lakewood. Other 3rd party repeater systems are also looking at linking to the hub to access all the features being developed for the system.
